Girl Scouting is for all girls – ages 5 to 18. We currently have 12 troops at St. Hedwig with over 160 girls involved in Scouting. The Girl Scout Program provides opportunities for the girls to have fun and learn in an environment that encourages girl-leadership and planning, safety and responsibility, diversity, international awareness, the outdoors, the arts and service to the community. The Los Alamitos/Rossmoor Service Unit, of which St. Hedwig Girl Scouts is a part, in one of the best organized and most active units in the Orange County Girl Scout Council region. The Service Unit organizes annual activities including Halloween Hijinks, International Thinking Day, family ice-skating, A Man in My Life dance, community campouts and service projects. If your daughter would like to join the Girl Scouts, if you would like to volunteer to help out with a troop or the service unit (you don’t need to have a daughter in scouting to get involved) or if you would like information about the Girl Scout program, please contact St. Hedwig’s Girl Scout Organizer: Cynthia Teague at ceteague@socal.rr.com
