The Governing Board is composed of the Executive Board and the appointed coordinators of the standing committees.

*Note, the Communicator and Prayer Ministries Coordinator are appointed directly by the principal.

Coordinators serve an important role in running the day-to-day operations of the St. Hedwig service program.  Parents appointed as service area coordinators are selected from among parents expressing interested in each position.  These parent coordinators also serve on the Governing Board and attend Parents’ Association monthly meetings.

 
Computer Lab: Assist small groups of students in the computer lab, under the guidance of a computer instructor.
>    Monday-Friday - (1½ hour shifts – every week)

Donut Sunday: Set-up and sell donuts and coffee after Sunday Masses.  This service job is generally reserved for single parents.
>    Sunday 7:30-Noon – once a month

Extended Day Program: Work with and supervise children before and after school.
>    Monday- Friday at 6:45 – 8:10AM or 3-6PM (1½ hour shifts – every week)

Health Room: To provide basic first-aid to students on an as needed basis.  If necessary, the volunteer will contact the parent and comfort the child until the parent arrives.  The recording of absentees is also required.
  Monday-Friday; morning or afternoon shifts – (3 hour shift every other week)

Lunch Program:

 

To (1) sell lunch tickets in the AM or (2) prepare the meals & setup lunch or (3) distribute meals and clean up after lunch.
  Monday- Friday at 7:40-8:45AM (ticket sales) or 10:30-Noon (preparation) or 11:30-1:00PM (lunch).  - (1½ hour shifts – every week)

Library: Assist students with locating & checking-in books, generating overdue notices and shelving books.
>    Monday-Friday AM, Mid-AM or afternoon – (1½ hour shifts – every week)

Manna/Scrip: Sell manna/scrip certificates after Masses or after school.  This is a 12-month program.
>    Wednesday after school (1½ hours) or after Sunday Masses every fifth week

Office/Copy Room: Assist school secretary with various office duties (i.e. copying, filing, answering phones, etc.).
>    Monday-Friday morning or afternoon shifts - (3 hour shift every other week)

Room Mom: Assist teacher with class activities; organizes the class hot lunch, field trips, parties and assist teacher with communicating to the parents.
>    Variable, but must be available to complete the above activities

Teacher's Aide: Assists students in classroom as specified by each teacher and supervises the children during recess.
>    Monday-Friday AM or Mid-AM  - (1½ hour shifts – every week)

Traffic Control: Most of the students arrive by car to school, so this service job is to maintain the safe and smooth flow of the cars during morning drop off.

Yard Duty: Supervise the students during lunch.
